About Me

My name is Crystal and I am owner and designer of HAWKEYE. I am a self-taught silversmith and create native inspired statement pieces that are one of a kind works of art. My love affair with Native American jewelry started at an early age. I remember being 12 years old, on a trip with my family driving cross country, traveling in our blue pick-up truck out west to visit historic locations, view sweeping landscapes of mountains and all I could think about was buying an authentic piece of Native jewelry. I grew up in the 80’s and it’s been a goal of mine to be the Mr. T of turquoise. He covered in massive gold chains and gold rings and me, the same but covered in turquoise and silver. It wasn’t until years later in my life that it occurred to me that I could make this dream a reality, creating the type of jewelry that I wanted to wear, bold, daring, powerful native inspired statement pieces made for fearless women.

It's taken me awhile to find a medium that represents my soul and that has allowed me to express my voice in its most authentic form, a voice that shows grit and continues to grow and change as I evolve on my journey. My jewelry designs are directly influenced by life, my love of animals, nature, my faith, the love and strength of family and friends, and knowing we are all connected in the highest vibration of love. Here in my little studio, I am able to be who I was meant to be all along, a creator, a storyteller, a healer creating pieces with a grateful heart.  

I lovingly named my brand HAWKEYE after the character of the same name in the novel “Last of the Mohicans”. We both share a deep love and connection to nature, to animals, to spirit and live our lives in harmony with these elements. I want to capture that spiritual connection through my work by using natural materials like reclaimed deer antlers and semi-precious stones that look like they were plucked from the Earth. My intention is to honor the extraordinary energies dwell within.
